The Blog

Hello blogging world!

Along this “becoming an artist” journey of mine, one thing I did NOT put on the top of my to-do list was starting a blog. Well, here we are! This is actually a really great place to document my collections and makes and projects and meanderings through this adventurous path that I’m on, so that’s what it shall be. I actually quite love to write as well, so this will also serve as a way for me to get all those writing itchies out. With all that said, I can also distinctly picture this as a cringeworthy “first post” that I’m going to find again some day and completely regret everything I write here, so I’m going to aim for “short and sweet” on this inaugural post. Welcome, and you have been warned!

For now, I will leave you with the the inspiration for the colors on my next collection. Isn’t this guy lovely? We found him in a used shop in Hayward, Wisconsin on an annual fall trip. The paint on the frame is falling off and we probably paid too much for it, but the character of this little piece struck my husband and I right away. We couldn’t put it down, and here it is, years later, serving as the delightfully muted/pastel colors for my next batch of work. Huzzah!
